My dad just celebrated his birthday today, June 15th. He grew up on a farm and from the age of 8 years old knew how to run farm equipment. He was and continues to be a hard working man. Today he has a hobby farm that is his life, as he retired from his job as a corrections officer for 15+ years. My dad is the most caring, kind hearted, working man that I know. He has never raised his voice in anger or lifted a finger to his wife or children. He is compassionate and has always been there for me, his daughter, time and time again. He gave me the best childhood any father could have, and is always ready to lend a helping hand or offer advice and support. He puts his family and their needs before his own and for that we are forever grateful. For example, when I was going through a rough emotional time, my dad got into his vehicle and drove 5 hours to my home in the city and stayed for as long as I needed him to. It was a complete surprise and showed me how dependable and supportive he truly is. My dad Gordon deserves the world.
