Dad on a 'Mission'
The Dad in our family is my husband, father of three girls. Over the years he has proven to be a really dependable Dad and family man. The girls make comments about different events while growing up. One brought home a paper from school and he asked where the other 2% was when she had gotten a 98 %. Our oldest daughter reminds us of when she would be needing a ride somewhere and her Dad would say he was busy cooking supper and she would have to wait. He was known as the "man on a mission" always getting the girls to their events way earlier than required. All three girls ended up with spouses that are all so very similar to their Dad. He taught them so much, about the outdoors, fishing and vehicle care. When our girls were young circumstances required my niece and nephew to come and live with us and he became 'Dad" to them as well. For thirteen years we had hockey billets in our home and all of them really looked to my husband for guidance. For all our girls, our niece and nephew, and all their friends and many of the hockey players thought of him as 'cool'. His nickname is Pickle and now he is Granpa Pickle to seven grandchildren, who all seem to believe and know that he is the greatest!
