Hi. My name is Lincoln and I am 8 years old. I wanted to enter my dad in the dependable dad contest because he’s the best dad and I really love him. Here's 10 reasons why. 1. He always does a lot of fun stuff with us. 2. He tucks me and my brothers in every night and tells us stories and asks us about our day. 3. He takes me on lots of bike rides. Sometimes he just takes me and not my little brothers so we can go really fast. 4. He needs a new vehicle because his is really old and rusty and he can’t drive it on the highway. I think we would have a lot of fun adventures in the truck. It has just enough spots to hold my whole family. 5. He helps me practice my violin every day. 6. He goes to work and works hard for me and my family. 7. He’s really funny and nice. 8. He reads good books to me like The Hobbit. 9. He teaches me about the outdoors like how to find constellations and how to start a bonfire with just one match and no paper. 10. He coached my basketball team. I asked my dad what he wants for Fathers day and he said a pancake griddle because he likes to make us pancakes on Saturdays but me and my brothers eat so many that he needs a bigger griddle. But I think my dad would be even more excited and surprised to get a truck and it would be so cool for a kid to give his dad a truck for Father’s Day because kids don’t usually have money to buy a gift that big for their dad. My dad is the very best dad in the world and I love him so much.
