True Alberta Redneck Dad
this is here

Always a true loving (sometimes tough love) provider my father. A driller on the oil rigs for over 35 years he is the hardest working man I have known. And NO THIS IS NOT BIASED as I am his son, others that have worked with both of us remind me what big shoes I have to continually fill and give me a constant reminder what I am thank-full for. He is as tough as nails but still a heart of gold always putting family first before his own needs. Last year we almost lost him due to health complications with his heart. He had flat lined. Thanks to a good medical staff, and his stubborn determined will and the aid of a pace maker his is back with us. Always putting himself last, my fathers mode of transportation is an old farm truck in which the box is rusted through on both sides. He likes to joke with others that "Only 2 more payments and it's mine". With that being said, I would love to win this contest and give back to my father a small piece of what he has given to me. Even after he is gone, his love for family / animals and work ethic will carry on in the traits I have learnt from him. Thanks for reading my story!!!
