Days are longs but the years are short
I'm entering my husband in for this story as he is the most incredible husband and father anyone could ever ask for. He works nights and days and hardly gets to catch up with his family. When he comes home, he says he misses us so much that he sleeps in the living room just so we surround him in his sleep. He tries to stay up for as long as he can and plays with our 2 young sons. In the end, he only gets about 4-6 hours of sleep, before having to rush off to work again. Due to our oldest son being a toddler, the house is never that quiet and tries to hug or kiss daddy while he is sleeping. And my husband will wake up to hug him and kiss him back. Regardless of all the hard work and hours he puts in at his work, he still makes sure everything in the house still works properly, the lawn is cut and the car has gas. He will play soccer with my oldest son in the back yard or talk baby nonsense to our infant son. He is wise beyond his years and everyone looks up to him. He has experienced a lot in his 28 years of life, more than most people would in a lifetime. He will go the extra mile to help a friend, or give away his meal to a homeless lady. Once he even chased down an elderly male collecting cans in the neighbourhood and gave him all 2 large bags of our recyclables and $20 cash. And after all this, he remains kind, caring and loving. Anyone that meets him falls in love right away. I'm lucky to call him my husband and father to my children. Happy Father's Day to all ❤️
