I met Jay almost 9 years ago, he came into out lives at a very difficult time and changed our lives for the better. My 3 children lost their father 11 years ago and went through struggle after struggle. He has provided stability and love like I have never seen before. Not once has he ever treated them as if they were not his. Because of the trauma my kids have gone through, my 2 boys became drug addicts, who are now recovering. Jason and myself fought tooth and nail to save these boys. Keep in mind that they are not his biological children, but they look up to and respect him beyond words and like their father. My 17 year old daughter is graduating this year and I truly believe that she has succeeded because of him. We most definitely have had our ups and downs with the struggles of raising the children but with the struggles we have become better people/parents. Jason now is driving his mothers car because his vehicle broke down and at the moment we cannot afford to purchase another. Maybe Jay could afford it if he wasn't helping raise my children, but he chooses to provide for us before anything else. I have never felt so strongly about Jason deserving to win this contest. He is the most caring, compassionate, loving and giving father I have ever known. My fingers are crossed that he can actually own his own vehicle. I am kind of skeptical about entering this but its all worth it for a man that puts the family before everything else. Thank you, Shelly Huppe
