My dad has sacrificed so much over the course of his life to improve those of other people; especially his children. My dad & I have been through a lot together, including living in a tent for over a month after not being able to find a place to rent & losing the little bit of money we had left on staying in hotels. He’s encouraged me to try harder, go further, & strive for more. He has been my driving force & has helped me get my education & to travel the world. He has shown me work ethic & determination when nothing seems to be going our way. Because of him, I have worked tirelessly to achieve excellence in everything I do. And I have always been able to depend on him to help me out with whatever he can because he wants nothing but the best for me. I wish more than anything that I could do something big to demonstrate my love and appreciation for everything he has done for me, but as a student, I don’t have the resources to do so. I thought this contest would be a perfect way to potentially pay him back in some way to show him how thankful I am for his overwhelming support and selflessness. He has been driving the same Toyota Corolla for 18 years.. I have literally grown up in it and it has seen it all. The time is coming for him to get a new car but can’t afford one because he has been supporting my sister. My dad deserves the world, because that’s exactly what he has given me.. and this Father’s Day, I really hope to give something that he will never forget!
