Fishing at Pinawa Dam
My dad Csaba, commonly known as Steve, is a great father! He has always been there for my sister and I. He repeatedly demonstrates this to us. His greatest act of being there for me happened when I was in middle school. My parents ended up divorcing. My dad allowed my mother and us kids to remain in the house, even though it was decided that he would keep it. We lived there rent free for many years together with our parents before the divorce, and continued to do so afterwards with our mom, rent free. This was a great and selfless act. It really allowed us to continue living our lives as comfortably and normally as possible whilst dealing with a traumatic experience. That was just one of the ways he helped us transition through a hard time. He did another great and selfless act, he moved two blocks away, into an apartment. He easily could have lived in the house, or in a nicer place or area. He chose to be there for us, a five minute walk away. His door was always open to us. He cooked for us several days a week, and watched us as much. He really provided for us. My dad Steve really stepped up to the plate in a tough situation. He made me and my sisters' lives so much better by doing so.This story just represents how he is in a nut shell. A kind, selfless person. Even though me and my sister are adults now, he would still do anything for us, and he proves this to us time and time again.
