My Dad is my mom... When there's father daughter dances, my mom takes me. When it's Father's Day and all the kids make cards for their dads, I make one for my mom. My mom is the best mom I could ever ask for, she does both jobs of mom and dad for me. She has been doing this alone with no help and raising me on her own while having health issues with Cancer and fighting through it, and she still has a smile on her face everyday for me. She works so hard and could never afford a truck for herself. She has had a horrible past couple years with her health problems and I just want to see my mom not be coming home dragging bags and bags of groceries on the bus when she is already exhausted. Or not being able to go on vacation with her because we don't have a vehicle. She makes the best out of our life and what we have. She has taught me so much about people who aren't as fortunate as we are. This year for Easter my mom said no Easter dinner for us, because we took the money we would have spent on it and we made a huge batch of chilli and 65 sandwiches and went downtown just the two of us and fed the homeless people who didn't make it into the shelter for Easter. That's my mom, dragging food and me in the rain to go help someone else in a bad spot in their lives. She always helps people as much as she can. Please help nominate my mom for this. I know she isn't technically what you would call a DAD. But to me she is my Mom and Dad....and my absolute HERO. Thank you, Mykaela
