My dad has always been there for me, through thick and thin, through the highs and the lows. He is always there, when I'm uncertain, when I need advice, when I just need someone to talk to, he is always ready to help me in any way he can. He has supported me in all my ambitions, new ventures, and my crazy ideas within reason. He has also been there to stop me from acting on my stupid ideas and help me through the consequences of my actions. Even though I have disappointed him from time to time and we have our disagreements I can always count on him to not judge me and to stand by me. I can always count on him to put my mother, my sister, and myself before anything else in his life. He is everything that I hope to be and I could not have had a better dad. He always knew when to let me make my own mistakes and when he had to put his foot down. Without him I would not be the independent, confident, and successful man that I am today. He is my mentor, my guardian, my advisor, my friend, my support, and my hero. It's all these traits that make him the most influential person in my life (sorry mom) and I'll love him forever for it. I could not be more proud to be his son and can only hope to be half the father that he is when I have my own children. He is my dad, he is part of what makes my family whole. No matter what, we will always stand together, always and forever.
