My dad has not had the easiest life.. but he goes out of his way to make everyone smile and to keep us all safe, he is a corrections officer he treats everyone with respect even those who have done wrong and trys to help them change, he sees everyone as equals and for who they are as a person. My father is not famous or well known but he is truly a hero... he has went out of his way to buy a homeless man a warm sweater and pants to keep him safe in our harsh winnipeg winters when everyone around had seen this it brought many to tears especially this man... he said to my dad not many people see him as a person but as just some thing on the streets to look away from... my father told him he is a very important person, we all are and that the world needs him...the man was so thankful but my father didn't do it to be thanked he did it because he was genuinely worried about this man, that day I learned from my father we can not change the whole world but we can change the whole world to one person. My dad has done so much to show me what life should be about. He has flagged down a bus that was on fire and helped everyone out he even got recognition for this he even got a few others for finding certain issues at his work that had to do with safety! , he puts his own safety last for strangers and would do it time and time again. My dad has truly opened my eyes to how I want to be. My dad doesn't have much.. but if he won this maybe he would see how much he means tomeforallhe'sdone
