During a bad economical situation back in 2004, my dad lost his job for two years. It was difficult to deal with as we had to cut on a lot of expenses and was extremely stressful for him since he has to support a family himself. He then came to Canada to study at UofC and found a job, which meant we had to leave our lives behind in Mexico. He knew it was for the best for my sister and I as he realized how many more opportunities we were going to be presented with and how much safer it is here in beautiful Canada. He sacrificed leaving his whole life behind which includes extended family and his friends just so we could live a better life and I couldn't be more grateful and proud of him. -Daughter Ana
